Just One Question...

I've known people who have drug and alcohol addictions, and while it is possible to get help and get your body off of drugs, it's a long, arduous process.  It doesn't happen overnight and it's something one then struggles with on the daily.

So....how the fuck is this possible?

From TMZ MAY 23:

Lindsay's Pals -- She Can't Quit Drugs and Alcohol

Lindsay Lohan cannot comply with the order Judge Marsha Revel will almost certainly lay down tomorrow -- cut drugs and alcohol out of her diet ... this according to multiple people who are in a position to know.

Judge Marsha Revel talked about it last Thursday -- that the conditions of her bail will be refraining from consuming alcohol, wearing a SCRAM bracelet to monitor alcohol consumption, and submitting to random drug testing at least once a week.

As one person connected to Lindsay tells TMZ, "She can't make it through a day without it.  She's a mess."

Another source says Lindsay wakes up with cravings and satisfies them fast.

Unless Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, changes Judge Revel's mind tomorrow in court, the three conditions should become part of Lindsay's bail by noon.

Probation violations aside, if Lindsay violates any of these conditions, the judge could revoke her bail and put her in jail.

Wow, that's someone with a pretty severe addiction, right?   The conditions of her bail are a step in the right direction, but she's still allowed to abuse the prescription pills she's taken a liking to so really, how much improvement can we expect to see?

Well apparently a lot, and in record time.  Lindsay must be a magical being, the likes of which this world has never seen.  If this is possible maybe unicorns DO exist...

From TMZ MAY 31 (8 whole days later!):

Lindsay Lohan Avoids the Danger Zone

Lindsay Lohan has finally realized she needs to avoid "those people" ... the ones creating massive temptation ... so say confidants of LiLo, who spoke with TMZ.

We're told Lindsay is spending the long weekend with a close friend by the beach in Venice, CA.  As one friend put it, "She needs to get away from that scene ... and she knows it."

But it's not just the Hollywood clubs that create the danger of relapse. "The people who hang around her are such moochers, and bad energy," says one friend, adding, "she needs to cut them out and I think that's what she's starting to realize."

As for what Lindsay is doing, we're told a lot of sleeping, watching TV and movies.  And shopping.  Interesting ... more than one person says she desperately needs sleep.

The people we've spoken with say it's definitely too early to tell, but Lindsay had at least temporarily turned a corner and is healthier than she's been "in a long time."

Well now how can that be?  She has a prescription for Ambien but she desperately needs sleep?  Hmm, strange.  And after only 8 days she's healthier than she's been in a long time.  I'm sure that's true, but it would seem that giving her this false sense of accomplishment is only going to cause more damage because anyone can see she has a looooong road ahead of her.   I don't know, I hope I'm wrong but I just don't think she has even an inkling of understanding that one should not need a bunch of prescriptions, drugs, and alcohol to enjoy life, and that is destructive and sad.
